Abstract

Social media marketing refers to the process of gaining website traffic or attention through social media sites. Social media has changed the way people communicate and the way we do business. Word of mouth marketing is being replaced by tweeting recommendations to friends, and more and more customers are researching products online before purchasing. In today’s rapidly-evolving media landscape, social media is not only a fundamental tool for communication but also a must-have skill in a multitude of industries. With the right amount of practice and social media education, students and professionals are empowered with a competitive edge in their studies, careers, and communications. This article focuses on advantages and disadvantages of social media marketing.
